And while this eponymous collection doesn’t exactly take its cue from the Big Apple, it does capture that sense of wonder that you feel when you see a show-stopping performance.

The synth-heavy burners balance sensual underground darkwave and widescreen revivalist synth-pop on opener ’Tower’, which pairs murmured vocals with glassy synths, building to a chugging pace that hints at militaristic drums. It’s a tightrope Boy Harsher walk, but they keep things from getting too muddy.
